WHY YOU ALWAYS WANT TO START WITH YOUR "WARM MARKET"

WHY YOU ALWAYS WANT TO START WITH YOUR "WARM MARKET"

The veterans in this business will always tell you that the first place to start in prospecting is always with your warm market, those people you know best. Survey any group of successful business builders and ask them how many came in as a warm market contact. You'll always find that well over 80% came in that way.

Contacting your warm market first is always the best, most efficient use of your time, especially at first.

What you risk by ignoring your warm market

Most experienced leaders have learned by sad experience not to neglect their warm market. When most leaders have built a good team and have started making significant money, they inevitably meet one of their friends they didn't contact. They exchange success stories, and this comes up: "I thought we were friends, and you didn't contact me." True leaders learn to approach everyone they know...no judging.

It's also a shame when two people in the same family or two close friends each get recruited by someone outside the family. You always want close friends or family members to have the strongest possible incentive to help each other out.

Some people you recruit may think, "I don't have anyone to contact. I belong to the NFL club, the "No Friends Left" club. You've already pitched all your friends and relations for 2 or 3 business deals that haven't worked out.

They may have let you know that they never want to see you again if you approach them with another deal. Go see them anyway. You're friends. You're family. You have to let them know about this record-breaking company. This isn't like other companies. This company has something special. Should we hold back if we have the greatest news they've ever heard?

Some leaders are even so bold that they tell their most committed team members that they won't work with them if they're unwilling to contact their warm market. Contacting a warm market is where the greatest, fastest success is in this business.

You'll find disaster stories everywhere in this industry about people who started by contacting a cold market or began by handing out fliers, advertising on the Internet, or running ads in a newspaper. Thousands of dollars have been wasted chasing these so-called "easy" ways of building the business.

Occasionally someone will find a cold-market trick that works for them. But it won't be easy to duplicate 3 levels down your organization, a thousand miles away, by people you don't even know.

ACTION STEPS:

1. At your next Corporate Event or conference call, ask fellow Executives how many came in as "warm market" contacts? Prepare your own story for anyone you bring in who doesn't want to contact their "warm market."

2. Try some "cold market" contacting of your own for a little while and see for yourself if it's a harder route to success. Your people can learn as much from your failure stories as they can from your success stories.

Exercise WITHOUT SUPPLEMENTATION Is Suicide!

Exercise WITHOUT SUPPLEMENTATION Is Suicide!
by Joel D. Wallach, BS, DVM, ND
Everyone 'knows' the medical dogma that "exercise is good for you." Now as Paul Harvey says, "You are going to hear the rest of the story!" Exercise without complete and optimal supplementation is self destructive and suicidal!

After dropping this heretical bombshell, I will give you enough food for thought to gauge the value and the hazards of exercise for yourself. For the last four years, I have crisscrossed America lecturing for almost 300 days per year and the have taken up the daily task of reading five to ten national and local newspapers and magazines (and international when I can get them). Using these information sources as teaching materials, I have been able to "connect the dots" and see the true picture of health (or lack of it) in America without having to do thousand of surveys or studies that would bridge hundreds of years of time and squander billions of taxpayers dollars.

Growing up in rural Missouri associated with the agricultural and livestock industries, I observed as a teenager that we very systematically put vitamins, minerals and trace minerals in the animal fed to prevent and cure disease; not because we were altruistic but primarily because we were market driven and didn't have major medical or hospitalization for calves or chickens; therefore, if we were to use a human health care system for them, your hamburger would cost you $275 per pound and chicken breast fillets would cost $450 per pound.
We also learned that "working and producing" animals (i.e. - dairy cattle, draft horses, racehorses and dogs, breeding animals) need additional nutrients above and beyond the maintenance level to support them during "production time" to maintain and repair their tissues and organ systems.

As a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for the Biology of Natural Systems (Washington University) I received the benefit of a $7.5 Million NIH training grant to cross-educate 30 young scientists from different professions to accelerate the conclusion making process from existing research. We were taught the language and tenets of each others specialties (i.e. math, biology, molecular biology, pathology, medicine, engineering, anthropology, forestry, chemistry, computer science, etc.), at least enough to know where to look for information and how to interpret the studies published in their professional journals.

Invariably, a good scientist will generate as many questions as they answer - this leads to more research which can be exciting and a career track as the person doing the studies learns new skills, buys additional equipment and writes more articles - but in the great scheme of things, this wastes time as the question probably has already been asked, answered and published by a very skilled scientist somewhere before.

We were to be a "strike force" of multi-disciplinary scientists employed to quickly identify and solve major regional and world ecological problems with the published information already at hand.
My job as a veterinary pathologist on the project was to become a comparative pathologist by studying human and animal diseases and be able to identify known human health problems in zoo animals - specifically I was to do autopsies on animals dying of natural causes in the large zoos of America and humans looking for pollution related diseases and find a species that was ultra sensitive to pollution and one that could be used as an early warning biological system.

To make a long story short, after having done some 17,500 autopsies on over 454 species of zoo animal and 3,000 humans, I learned that all of the animals and all of the people who died of "natural causes" died of nutritional diseases. As a result of these original studies, I was able to publish more than 70 peer reviewed and refereed papers on nutritional deficiency diseases and pharmacology, contribute papers to eight multi-author veterinary and medical texts on the subject and write a tome on the comparative pathology of most of the known species of animals and humans (W. B. Saunders, 1983) and most recently, write two self-help texts (Let's Play Doctor and RARE EARTHS: Forbidden Cures).

Unable to convince the academic world of the importance of nutrition in the mid to late 60's, I became frustrated enough to go back to school for four years and become a primary care physician. I successfully used everything I learned in the veterinary nutrition and in my studies as a postdoctoral fellow for my human patients for more than 12 years.

It was necessary to provide you with an understanding of my academic background to answer your logical questions, "Where does this guy come off? Everybody knows exercise is the number one health activity!" The picture that unfolds in this article as I "connect the dots" for you it will not make sense as you now know that I have had some very unique training at a great expenditure of your tax money.

About ten years ago during the early 80's, ominous articles began appearing in news media, medical and veterinary journals as well as pathology journals. These articles brought to light an increase in the frequency and severity of sports injuries (i.e. sprains, strains, degenerative joint problems, fractures, paralysis), behavior problems in athletes and coaches (i.e. sociopathic behavior, fights, uncontrolled rages, drug and alcohol addiction, anorexia, bulimia) degenerative diseases (i.e. arthritis, diabetes, cancer and cardiomyopathy) and sudden death (Cardio-myopathy and ruptured aneurysms.)

It is not surprising that young athletes develop these diseases even though they are "highly conditioned", have professional trainers, coaches and nutritionists hovering over them at all times. In fact, unsupplemented high-output athletes, amateur or professional, are more susceptible to emotional, traumatic and degenerative diseases than the classic "couch potatoes".

The rationale for this unbelievable statement can be illustrated by comparing two Mercedes automobiles one with no oil and no coolant, stored in a garage (the couch potato) and one with no oil and no coolant running at 70 mph (the athlete) - which car (the couch potato or the athlete) will last longer?

Even though the Mercedes is engineered to go 300,000 miles before it needs a major overhaul or a new engine, it is obvious that in our scenario the "couch potato" Mercedes will last longer, because the basic needs of the "athlete" Mercedes engine running at 70 mph were not met by providing simple oil and coolant.

This simple Mercedes illustration can then be carried back to the human analogy. As always, there are cases of famous athletes dying or developing some health challenge that grabs the public's attention; however, the cases of the twenty four year old cyclist dying of cardio-myopathy in Jacksonville, Florida, the high school athlete from backwater towns in Missouri or Pennsylvania who goes berserk, develops diabetes or dies suddenly on the field of play, are just as valuable in "connecting the dots" to complete our picture of the underlying problem. For each example of famous athletes that I am about to share with you, there are literally hundreds of thousands and perhaps millions of amateur athletes of various ages that will fit the profile.

Reggie Lewis, the 27-year-old captain of the Boston Celtics, collapsed on the basketball court in April of 1993 during a game against the San Antonio Spurs. He was quite accurately diagnosed with cardio-myopathy, a muscular dystrophy of the heart muscle caused by a selenium deficiency. Twelve world class cardiologists known as the "Dream Team" of cardiologists were hired by the Boston Celtics to save Reggie, a $65 million contract basketball super star. This "Dream Team" of cardiologists considered pacemakers, pharmaceuticals, defibrillators and heart transplants as treatment for Reggie, but not one gave him 20 cents worth of selenium! Reggie Lewis died of his second cardiomyopathy heart attack on July 28, 1993.

Hank Gathers, from Loyola Marymount, Los Angeles, died from a selenium deficiency cardiomyopathy heart attack on the basketball court during the "March Madness" playoffs in 1990 at the age of 23.

Evander Hollyfield, the 31-year-old, two time heavy weight boxing champion of the world, suddenly retired from boxing because of the onset of a chronic wasting form of selenium deficiency cardiomyopathy known as a "stiff heart".

Thirty-seven years ago, in 1957, it was proven in animal studies that the trace mineral selenium was essential to life and that a deficiency of selenium produces a variety of diseases ranging from cardiomyopathy (known in animals as "Mulberry heart disease" or white muscle disease) to muscular dystrophy. Additional research proved with 100 percent certainty that cardiomyopathy was preventable and, in the early stages of diagnoses, curable with supplementation of selenium.

Historically, selenium deficiencies in humans that result in cardiomyopathy, "Mulberry heart disease" or "White muscle disease" are known as Keshan Disease. In Keshan Province, Peoples Republic of China, Keshan Disease (cardiomyopathy) killed 13 out of every 1,000 preschool children, teenagers and pregnant women.  The soil in Keshan Province is almost totally devoid of selenium. In the 1930's Keshan Disease was thought to be caused by a viral infection; later in the sixties Keshan Disease was thought to be caused by mold contaminants of stored grain. It was not until 1972 when the World Health Organization sent a team of pathologists to China to study Keshan Disease was the mystery solved.

On the WHO pathology team was a veterinary pathologist who recognized that Keshan Disease in humans was in fact identical to "Mulberry heart disease" in pigs with a selenium deficiency.

To prove the connection between selenium deficiency and the cardiomyopathy of Keshan Disease, the WHO funded a large double blind study in which 39,000 school children were given selenium as a daily supplement and a control group of 9,000 children were given a placebo. At the end of two years the rate of Keshan Disease in those children receiving the daily selenium supplement dropped to zero, while the rate of Keshan Disease in the control group remained at 13 per 1,000.

Selenium has a wide variety of functions in the human body including protection of the cellular membranes of cardiac and skeletal muscle fibers from peroxidation (free radical damage to the bi-lipid layer membrane) and replacement of viable muscle tissue by fibrous connective tissue.

A Selenium deficiency is exacerbated by exercise (athletes) and high intake of polyunsaturated fats and oils that are found in salad dressings, frying oils, frozen and soft serve desserts or margarine.

It is a sad fact that commercially prepared diets of pet, laboratory and farm animals contains optimum levels of selenium specifically to prevent cardiomyopathy, while humans and especially athletes at the behest of their trainers, sports medicine doctors and family doctors are led to believe that they can get everything they need from the "four food groups", primarily because the orthodox health profession's ignorance of and bias against vitamins and mineral supplementation.

Buster Douglas, once the heavyweight boxing champion, suddenly developed diabetes and went into a diabetic coma two years after losing the championship. Adult onset diabetes is known to be caused by chromium and vanadium deficiencies.

Tonya Harding (figure skater) and Jennifer Capriotti (tennis player) both became sociopathic (i.e.- aggression, drug and alcohol addiction) after years of participating in their respective sports. Deficiencies of chromium, vanadium and/or lithium are associated with volatile behavior, sociopathic behaviors, depression and addiction to drugs and alcohol (especially if they consume large quantities of sugar).

Running is often put forth as the universal "fitness" exercise, and yet numerous world class runners have lost their lives by not supplementing. Jim Fixx, the runner who started the whole jogging craze in America with his best selling books on jogging and running for fitness, died at age 48 following his fifth cardiomyopathy heart attack.. He purposely did not supplement because he wanted to prove that running was the pure way to health and longevity.

Dr. George Sheehan, the longtime medical editor for Running World Magazine, died at age 74 from prostate cancer even though he ran for 25 years. Dr Sheehan had no understanding of or interest in supplements, "Nutrition, to my mind, occupies an area somewhere between religion and science, and is a confusing amalgam of these great subjects." A National Cancer Institute Study showed that faithful daily use of even the small levels of double the American RDA for beta-carotene, vitamin E and selenium together can reduce the rate of cancer by 13 to 21 percent.

There are literally tens of thousands of people in America in all age groups who die each year while running as a result of a ruptured cerebral, coronary or aortic aneurysm. Aneurysms were proven to be the result of a copper deficiency in turkeys in 1957.

Fred LaBeau, 56, founder of the New York Marathon and world class runner himself and Wilma Rudolph, 54, winner of three Olympic gold medals in track and field, both died of brain cancer which can be produced in laboratory animals placed on a gallium deficient diet.

Then there is the spectacular statistic that "connect the dots" and completes the picture, the last clue needed to clearly show that exercise without supplementation is self-destructive and is , in fact suicidal - 62% of women gymnasts at the university level are anorexic and/or bulimic (in fact a zinc deficiency aggravated by malabsorption, i.e. celiac disease). Is it genetic that there is this connection between gymnasts and eating disorders - I believe not.

What is the common denominator that 'connects the dots' between the 85 pound gymnast, the lithe runner, the 220 pound heavy weight boxing champion and the six foot eleven inch basketball player? SWEAT!
When we sweat, we sweat out more than just water for cooling our overheated bodies; we sweat out more than just the electrolytes (potassium, sodium and chloride) - we sweat out all 72 of the essential minerals; and if we don't consciously replace them by supplementation, the minerals consumed by cellular biochemical reactions and sweated out during exercise, as sure as God made little green apples, we are inviting disaster!
  • If we sweat out all of our selenium during exercise and don't replace it by supplementation, we are at high risk of developing cardiomyopathy.
  • If we sweat out all of our chromium and vanadium during exercise and don't replace them by supplementation, we are at high risk of developing low blood sugar, diabetes, depression or antisocial behavior.
  •  If we sweat out all of our lithium and don't replace it by supplementation, we are at high risk of developing depression, manic depression or addiction to alcohol or drugs.
  •  If we sweat out all of our copper and don't replace it by supplementation, we are at high risk of developing joint and/or cartilage problems, varicose veins or a fatal ruptured aneurysm.
  •  If we sweat out all of our gallium and don't replace it by supplementation, we are at high risk of developing a brain tumor.
  • If we sweat out significant amounts of calcium, magnesium manganese, sulfur, boron and strontium and we don't replace them by supplementation, we are at high risk of developing joint, cartilage and bone degeneration (arthritis) or injuries (hairline fractures, fractures).
Athletes, especially the university and professional levels, are supposed to have training tables filled with the very best quality food, yet the only guarantee that they can get from their meals are protein, fats, carbohydrates, and calories.

Depending on our food for vitamins, minerals and trace minerals is, at best a "crap shoot." Certainly, the average weekend athlete, jogger or aerobics buff with common sense wouldn't throw their life away by not supplementing with the known 103 essential nutrients each day (72 minerals, 16 vitamins, 12 essential amino acids and three essential fatty acids). Certainly then, the highly conditioned serious athlete (amateur and professional) who invests considerable time and money in their training and fitness programs would not throw their health or lives away by not supplementing with all 100 plus essential nutrients.

Yet, the majority of people who exercise don't supplement with minerals let alone all 100 plus essential nutrients, because they have bought into the medical dogma that "if you eat right, you don't need to supplement - you can get everything you need from the four food groups" or, if you supplement..., "it only gives you expensive urine." Most Americans have not been told the fact that our farm and range soils are depleted as a result of 100 to 200 years of intensive farming without appropriate mineral replacement - or if they have read the information about depleted soils in America, they don't make the connection that the food on their dinner plate is, in fact anemic.

U.S. Senate Document 264 (1936) stated 59 years ago that our farm and range soils are depleted. More recently at the Earth Summit in Rio (June 1992) one report pointed out that American farm and range soils were 85% depleted of minerals compared with the soil mineral levels of 100 years ago. There is a clear and present danger and potentially fatal effect to each and everyone of us as a result of consuming minerally depleted foods - and that hazard is magnified many-fold by exercise.

Reflux - Indigestion

Reflux - Indigestion

Reflux occurs when the "valve" at the top of the stomach doesn't close properly and stomach acid "leaks" into the esophagus. Doctors are concerned about the condition because over time as this acid backs up into the esophagus it erodes the lining. If this occurs over a long enough period of time it can lead to esophageal cancer. Armed with this knowledge the first approach of traditional medicine is to treat the symptom, reflux, instead of getting to the bottom of why the valve is leaking. Traditional medicine reasons that we must neutralize the acid so when it does "reflux" it won't do any more damage.

The FDA is now warning that long term use of these products is causing a few issues. First of all the are seeing an increase in bone fractures among people using these medications and secondly they are seeing an increase in vitamin B-12 deficiencies. To understand these dangers one must look at what the function of the stomach is and then ask critically, "If I decrease stomach acid over a long period of time what happens and why?"

Acid is measured on a scale of 0 to 14. This is called the pH scale. The lower the number on the scale the more acid the environment. Neutral pH is 7.0. Our blood stream for comparison must maintain a pH of 7.365 which is basically neutral.

Our stomach on the other-hand must maintain a pH of less than 2. This is like battery acid. The pH must be this low so a few different functions can occur.

First the stomach must be below 2.0 so it can break down minerals to allow for proper absorption.

Second It must be below 2 so the body can break down protiens int their usable amino acid components.

And third, it must be below a pH of 2.0 so it can produce the necessary cofactors that allow for efficient absorption of Vitamin B-12.

So right away we can identify 3 potential major problems related to nutrient deficiencies by "neutralizing" stomach acid.

So we can see why neutralizing the acid is bad so how do we stop the reflux?

We need to find out why the valve is leaking in the first and that in most cases is related to our diet.

In the American diet today most people drink some sort of carbonated beverage with our meal. The carbonation in the drink neutralizes the stomach acid, raising the pH above 2.0 and we already discussed what that does to absorption but it also creates an environment that allows for bacterial and yeast growth. Add to the carbonation the large amount of sugar and other carbs in our diet we now have the perfect conditions for fermentation. A byproduct of the fermentation process is gas bubbles which tends to force the valve to open and we get reflux. Now add to that the fact that we supersize everything and over eat this then forces the valve open as well.

Another problem with the american diet has been that doctors have told us salt is bad for us and they have had us cut our salt intake dramatically. Salt is necessary for the production of stomach acid. Also Harvard did a study on salt and cardiovascular disease and found there was NO correlation to salt intake and cardiovascular disease yet the doctors still have us cut our salt intake.

Even though we have lowered the acid level with the carbonation and cutting our salt intake the stomach pH is still below 7.0 so it is still acid enough to cause erosion and esophageal damage therefore traditional medicine, treating symptoms, lower the acid further to keep the reflux from causing damage instead of fixing the problem. This is leading to all kinds of mineral, amino acid, and vitamin deficiency problems. Traditional medicine isn't adding 1 and 1 together because they are so blindly entrenched into the mindset of disease and symptom management that they don't see the big picture!

So how do we fix it. We must increase stomach acid. We must get it back below 2.0. This will destroy the bad bacteria and yeast because they can't survive in that environment. To do this we must eliminate carbonated beverages; we must increase our salt intake to taste; we must increase our protein consumption to give the body the amino acids it needs; we must supplement with all 90 known essential nutrients and we must replenish the critical digestive enzymes that we have destroyed.

For a complete program designed by Dr Wallach to accomplish all of this contact me. If you "Give Doc 90 Days" you will begin to see dramatic changes in your health. I have looked at the research and compared it to what I learned in pharmacy school and have concluded (and have actually witnessed it myself) that the science behind this holistic approach to nutrition and wellness is sound and really works.

Why is Celiac Disease on the Rise?

Why is Celiac Disease on the Rise?

Nearly five times as many Americans have celiac disease today than in the 1950s, a recent study of 9,133 young adults at Warren Air Force Base found. Another recent report found that the rates of celiac disease have doubled every 15 years since 1974. The debilitating digestive disease is now estimated to afflict about 1 in 100 Americans. Why is exposure to gluten--a protein in found in barley, wheat, rye, and possibly oats, as well as other everyday products, including some brands of lipstick, vitamins and lip balms—making more people sick than ever before?

To find out more about celiac disease and the health effects of gluten-free diets, I talked to Christina Tennyson, MD of the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University in New York City.

Eating gluten-free requires planning your meals: Tips for Stress-Free Cooking.

What is celiac disease? A debilitating digestive disorder, celiac disease is a chronic autoimmune disorder triggered by gluten. When people with the disease eat foods that contain gluten, a damaging reaction occurs in the lining of the small intestines, blocking its ability to absorb certain nutrients. This can lead to vitamin deficiencies and malnutrition, even if the person is eating a seemingly healthy diet.

What are the symptoms? One reason why this autoimmune disease often goes undiagnosed for as long as 10 years is that symptoms can vary from person to person. Among the more common warning signs of celiac disease are abdominal pain, bloating, gassiness, diarrhea, constipation, lactose intolerance, nausea and fatigue.

How serious is it? Because celiac disease robs the body of vital nutrients, people who have it are at increased risk for anemia and osteoporosis. People who have celiac disease and don’t eat a gluten-free diet also face a higher threat of bowel cancer and intestinal lymphoma. The Air Force Base study found that during 45 years of follow-up, those with undiagnosed celiac disease were four times more likely to die.

What causes it? Although the cause isn’t fully understood, two genes are known to play a role, says Dr. Tennyson.

Why are rates rising? One theory is that today’s grain-based foods contain more gluten than they did in the past. Another is that kids are exposed to gluten at an earlier age, contributing to increased risk. A frequently proposed explanation is the “hygiene hypothesis,” the theory that we are too clean for our own good, resulting in weaker immune systems because we’re not exposed to as many diseases.

Does a gluten-free diet help people lose weight? Many gluten-free foods are actually higher in calories than their gluten-containing counterparts and therefore lead to weight gain, reports Dr. Tennyson. “One of the pitfalls is that these foods are often highly processed and high in fat. Some ingredients that are used are low in fiber, such as white rice flour, tapioca and corn starch, causing constipation.” To avoid these problems, people with celiac disease should work with a nutritionist, she advises.

Does a gluten-free diet have any health benefits if you don’t have celiac disease? Possibly. In a randomized study in which neither the researchers nor the participants knew if the foods they were eating contained gluten or not, 68 percent of people who thought that a gluten-free diet improved their GI symptoms reported worsening of their symptoms when they were fed gluten-containing foods without their knowledge. However, the study only looked at 34 patients. Use of gluten-free diets for other conditions, such as autism, is highly controversial.

How trustworthy is gluten-free labeling? While products as diverse as lipstick brands to chocolate and many types of groceries carry gluten-free labeling, right now, there are no legal standards that have to be met in the US. In 27 other countries, food labeled as gluten-free food can’t have more than 20 parts of gluten per million. Nearly three years after the FDA’s deadline for a rule to define “gluten-free,” the agency is finally getting serious about tackling the dangerous risks people with celiac disease can face due to misleading labeling.

What’s the treatment? Although there’s no cure, symptoms can be effectively controlled through dietary changes to avoid all foods with gluten. However, if you think you might have celiac disease, don’t start a gluten-free diet until you’ve been tested for the condition, since eliminating gluten can cause misleading test results, cautions Dr. Tennyson. Because the disease can also spark vitamin and mineral deficiencies, patients may also need supplements (see TheRx4Health.com ). For people with severe small intestine inflammation, doctors sometimes prescribe steroids.

Can I get all the nutrients I need from my diet?

Can I get all the nutrients I need from my diet?
Plants can make carbohydrates, enzymes, vitamins, amino acids, fibre, fatty acids etc. yet they can not make minerals. Minerals exist in the soil and must come to us from the soil. A plant draws minerals up through its root system and delivers it to us in a colloidal, organically bound form. Unfortunately, due in part by the way in which agriculture has been practiced the past hundred years or so, the mineral content of our range and crop soils is at an all time low. Farmers can grow millions of bushels of corn by applying the fertilizer, NPK (nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus) to their fields. However, after five to seven years of harvesting crop after crop from the same field most of the minerals, especially the trace minerals and rare earths, are virtually 'strip mined' from the soil. Alarmingly low mineral content in soils worldwide was documented most recently at the 1993 "Eco" conference in Rio. The poverty of our soils translates into a lack of minerals in our diets and also may well diminish the plants own ability to manufacture other nutrients we need like vitamins, fatty acids and amino acids. Besides poor soils other factors contribute to malnourishment. More and more of our foods are now highly processed or manipulated to achieve a certain look or taste or convenience of preparation. Frozen orange juice, for example, has been shown by consumer magazines to be a pathetic substitute for fresh squeezed. Also, due to our fast paced lifestyle, we tend to neglect eating fresh fruits and vegetables, the very foods richest in precious vitamins and enzymes. Because it is next to impossible for us to get all 90 essential nutrients from our diet, it is imperative that we turn to other sources. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT WE SUPPLEMENT.

The Power of a System

The System

To illustrate the power of a system, consider McDonalds - perhaps THE most successful franchise of all time. With the average "Mom & Pop" hamburger stand costing under $100,000 to open, why do people invest over $1-million in a McDonald's               franchise? Is it because McDonald's makes the best hamburger? Generally               not. People are investing in the McDonald's SYSTEM which boasts a 98% success rate (vs. 2% with traditional "Mom & Pop"). This success occurs even with high school kids running the store!

With Youngevity we also have the power of a proven SYSTEM. What is it?

Instead of memorizing Dr. Wallach's message yourself, use the TOOLS (cd's, dvd's, etc...) to share his message!

Have you ever wondered why roughly 40 different companies use Dr. Wallach's tape to sell their products? They use it because his tape is so powerful that they can give it to people they don't even know, and those people will buy their products!
Dr. Wallach explains that these other companies have helped "chum the waters" for your Youngevity business. Ask yourself: How many of these people don't know that Dr. Wallach has his own company? What will they do when they find out? Who is going to tell them?

Our job is simple - we share Dr. Wallach's tools and those tools share his message. We merely spark people's curiosity to LISTEN TO or WATCH these audiocassettes and videos. The more people you encourage to listen to his tapes, the more people you'll find who want to try Dr. Wallach's products.

Another major advantage of using the tools is DUPLICATION
If you spend an hour explaining Dr. Wallach's message to someone, they might say to themselves, "I could NEVER learn all of that!"
But if you simply share a tape with them and commit them to listening to it ("If I lend you this tape, will you listen to it?"), they realize how easily they could do the same.

Principles of Network Marketing (MLM)

Network marketing or multi-level marketing (MLM) is the process of moving products directly from the company to the end consumer through word-of-mouth. The industry is growing at an incredible rate. You are in the right industry!

Network Marketing is based on the principle of time leverage, meaning that you develop a vehicle that will provide you an income stream. This is achieved byDUPLICATING, or creating a system where success builds on itself.

As it's name suggests, Network Marketing or MLM is based on networking or creating relationships with others. More than traditional sales, it involves building strong communication ties and lasting relationships. You will have the most fun and success as you develop your interpersonal skills, specifically by having a positive attitude, being friendly, looking for the good in others, and helping other people see success. It is often said that the best way to achieve what you want is to help other people reach what they want.

The Power of Duplication: Is it realistic?

The Millionaires Club is a recommended strategy for people to begin using the products and get on track toward becoming a millionaire!  We invite Distributors to redirect their spending using at least 140 BV (about $150) a month of higher quality wholesale products perhaps similar to what they are already using and sponsor one other person each month to do the same.  This is how the club grows…

MonthYou SponsorDistributors
1You and one other person1+1=2
2You each add one person2+2=4
3You each add one person4+4=8
4You each add one person8+8=16
5You each add one person16+16=32
6You each add one person32+32=64
7You each add one person64+64=128
8You each add one person128+128=256
9You each add one person256+256=512
10You each add one person512+512=1,024
11You each add one person1,024+1,024=2,048
12You each add one person2,048+2,048=4,096
13You each add one person4,096+4,096=8,192
14You each add one person8,092+8,092=16,384

16,384  x  140BV  =  2,293,760 BV  in total volume of which you receive an average of 4% over the different levels.  This produces a  commission amount of over $91,750 paid directly to you from the company.  $91,750  x  12 months  =  $1,101,005 per year!

Obviously, millionaires aren't born overnight.  Someone is likely to break the cycle, meaning that it may take you longer or you may not reach the full goal.  But ask yourself the following questions:

1.  Do you have a better plan for achieving financial and time freedom?

2.  What if it takes you two or three or even four times as long?

3.  What if you only reach half way?  Or a quarter of the way?  Or a tenth of the way?

4.  Could you be satisfied with $100,000 a year of ongoing, repeated income?

The power of duplication really works!  If you don't join our team for any other reason, join to give yourself a plan for the future.  It is helpful to have some direction and be taking one step at a time to achieve your goal.  Join the Millionaires Club.  Put yourself on track to become a Millionaire through this steady process of building.  Find one other person each month who shares this goal and is willing to find one other person to redirect their spending on higher quality products they are already using.  It is the power of duplication… and it works!

Duplication

What is this really saying?

Let's look at some examples…

1.  Imagine that you are offered $1,000,000 cash today or 1 penny doubled every day for thirty days.  Which would you choose?  If you do the arithmetic you'll soon realize that a penny doubled every day for thirty days turns out to be over $10,000,000!  Over 10 times the value even though you start by doubling something as small as a penny!

2.  Imagine I give you an extremely large sheet of paper of regular thickness and ask you to fold the paper in half and then in half again fifty times.  After the fiftieth fold, how thick would your stack of folded paper be?  Possibly the thickness of a phone book?  Or how about a mile?  Actually the thickness of that paper folded fifty times would reach from the earth to the sun.  Folding one more time would make it the distance to the sun and back.  Isn't that amazing?

Even starting with something as small as a penny or the thickness of a sheet of paper can turn into something immense if doubling or duplication occurs.  The principle is based upon a large number of people doing simple and ordinary tasks which as a whole amount to immense results.  Listen to how one entrepreneur explained it…

How does understanding the principle of duplication help me?

This is the basis of royalty or residual type incomes that creates huge wealth.  In other words, rather than basing your income on a large one time sale (example of the $1,000,000 above), what if you could base your income on a small piece of a continually growing pie (the penny doubling over thirty days)?  By following simple tasks and teaching others to do the same, you can put yourself in line to benefit from the doubling principle over and over again until your income reaches unbelievable heights.

What Makes Youngevity Unique?

"I would like to personally invite you to join the Youngevity crusade to improve the physical and financial health of people throughout the world."

In addition to their physical health, Dr. Wallach understands that there are many people in America who could improve their financial health. He founded Youngevity, the ONLY nutritional company owned and operated by Dr. Joel Wallach, not only to provide people with the best nutritional products in the world, but to provide a solid financial opportunity to those with the burning desire to achieve more in life.

  • 1.  Products that change lives!

  • Dr. Wallach has taken everything he learned to treat animals as a veterinarian and applied it as a physician for our use, too! Youngevity's products are based on his 43+ years of research and experience. Give your body the 90 Essential Nutrients that it needs and it can do amazing things!

  • 2.  Associate Friendly

  • Where other companies focus on paying dividends to their owners, Youngevity focuses on its associates. The company pays up to 65% back to its associates, with an actual payout at perhaps the highest in the industry -- 55-56%! Youngevity actively listens to input from its associates on new products, customer support, and product improvements.

  • 3.  Tools, tools, TOOLS!

  • The most effective marketing tools of all time have been Dr. Wallach's audiocassettes. These enable you to share the same information that Dr. Wallach does in his lectures in a non-confrontational way. If you can learn to share Dr. Wallach's tapes, the tapes will then share Dr. Wallach's message for you! All the Business Building tools - such as "Running the Bases" - are designed to help you get off to a running start!

  • 4.  45 Million Tapes - a Pre-Sold market.

  • Over 40 companies have used the tape, "Dead Doctors Don't Lie," to sell their products. With more than 45 million copies of his lecture in circulation, many people are buying products from other companies, thinking that they are Dr. Wallach's. How many people have already received a tape but don't know that Dr. Wallach now has his own company with an even better product line? What are they going to do when they find out? This huge pre-sold market is waiting for you!

  • 5.  Work once and get paid over and over again!

  • This royalty-type concept is called residual income. With Youngevity you can introduce someone to the products once, and earn a bonus each time that person purchases products, even if you're on vacation! Imagine building a huge business that can pay you for a lifetime!

  • 6.  Direct Marketing and Network Marketing with a twist!

  • One of the most unique things about the Youngevity Opportunity is that it combines two incredible industries. With Dr. Wallach's popularity and credibility it is easier than ever for associates to use both word-of-mouth and mass marketing methods to share Dr. Wallach's life-changing message.

  • 7.  Support

  • In addition to company support, there are many people just like yourself who have built a successful business with Youngevity and are available to show you how and help you get started.

  • 8.  No Limits!

  • Unlike other plans, Youngevity's lucrative compensation plan does not limit you to the number of people you can sponsor, the depth you get paid on, or the amount of money you can make.

  • 9.  Timing, timing, TIMING!

  • There has never been a better time than now to get involved with Dr. Wallach and Youngevity. We are now over 3 years old and debt free, have life-changing consumable products, and have roughly 100,000 distributors across the country. These are the 3 elements that Harvard Business School points to as conditions for MOMENTUM - the biggest growth spurt in a company's history! Although we're already breaking records, the best is yet to come!

  • 10.  YOU!

Why Do Couch Potatoes Live Longer Than The Average Athlete?

Have you ever heard about professional athletes dropping dead on the field? According to the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, 100,000 youngsters, as well as pros die each year from cardio-vascular disorders as a result of sports -THIS IS TWICE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE THAT DIE ON THE NATIONS HIGHWAYS! 45,000 of the 100,000 play basketball, not boxing or football. In hard exercise, people sweat out many of their vital minerals - not just sodium and potassium. Rigorous exertion without replacing lost minerals can be fatal. There are sports drinks that are supposed to replace nutrients lost during exertion, these would work fine if they had more than sugar, salt and potassium, and food coloring.

Dr. Wallach has a unique hobby, collecting MD obituaries. Here is one case:
A recent favorite of mine is Dr. W.T.N., 48, captain of the 'Dream Team' of cardiologists who cared for the late Reggie Lewis, 27, captain of the Boston Celtics. (Reggie Lewis died of a cardio-myopathy heart attack." A simple computer search at the library would have turned up the large-scale study showing the only known reason for cardiomyopathy to be a simple selenium deficiency.) THE TROUBLE WITH MODERN MEDICINE IS THAT THE PROFESSION IS SLOW TO APPLY THEIR OWN RESEARCH. Guess who pays the price of ignorance?

Dr. W.T.N. taught at Harvard, was cardiac expert for NBA, and finished the Boston Marathon three times. You guessed it- he died one and a half years after Reggie from the same type of heart attack. Dr. W.T.N. forgot that the human body needs something more than drugs, pacemakers and surgery. They both died from mineral deficiencies.

Why are athletes dropping dead at early ages? Why are they not faring as well compared to couch potato's? That's because athlete's sweat more in 5 years than couch potato's do in 75 years. And when you sweat your not just sweating out water or Gatorade, your sweating out a soup that contains all 60 essential minerals and they are called essential minerals because if any of them are missing for any length of time, you get some horrible degenerative disease, many of which are life threatening. So this is a no brainer folks...

Who is more likely to die of a life threatening mineral deficiency disease, an athlete sweating out quarts and quarts of this mineral rich soup everyday or a couch potato in an air conditioned den, laying on the couch belching and flipping through the channels?

Now the bottom line message here is this, you don't need to be an athlete to sweat, you can be in the military doing your training. You could be a roofer, a carpenter, an electrician, a plumber, a carpet layer, you can be a farmer, you could be a dance instructor, you could work in a bakery, you could work in an air conditioned insurance agency where its so cold like it is in here you could hang meat in there you know, never sweat at your work place, an then you know your being inactive so you join a health club, where you go sweat 3 nights a week. Unless your replacing the minerals your sweating out, your not going to make it to 100. Your going to be sick and miserable the last 12 to 15 years of your life. Exercise without supplementation is suicide. Exercise without supplementation is a negative, not a positive. Just like running your car without oil.

The next medical dogma or lie were going to look at has to do with this salt thing. Believe it or not how many of you have ever heard that using the salt shaker is going to increase your risk of high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, you got to be dead in America not to have heard that one. What's the first thing a farmer puts out to live stock? Salt block isn't it. There's nobody out in the pasture telling a cow she is limited to one lick a day is there. And I refuse to believe that my human patients are dumber than a cow. So I say go ahead and pick up a salt shaker and lightning won't strike you, salt your food with impunity, you can salt your body, nothing bad is going to happen. Go ahead and do it. 98% of my patients love it, they bring me hundreds of new patients every month who want to use salt and not feel guilty about it. And the 2%, the bean counters, they say Wallach we love and respect you, but we have this high priced cardiologist who says your flying in the face of all the weighted medical evidence. You can't tell people they can use salt, they are going to get hypertension and heart disease and stroke.

Well I have been redeemed on my view on salt. This came out in 1997. This was presented at the annual meeting of the American Heart Association, not the National Inquirer, this was in Portland Oregon. Doctors lack proof that to much salt is unhealthful. After years of telling people, healthy people that too much salt isn't good for them, researchers still don't have solid evidence to back up that claim. Now what do doctors call people who give unsubstantiated health or medical advice for a profit? Call them quacks don't they, absolutely. So if you have a doctor and I don't care if they are an Orthodox doctor or an alternative doctor, if they say to cut back on salt, you say doc, you're a quack. Your giving me unsubstantiated health and medical advice for a profit. There's not a single study, not a single study, which shows that restricting salt will reduce your risk of high blood pressure.

Modern Medicine is Doing the Public a Disservice

Modern medicine is doing the public a disservice. They, especially the drug manufactures, are so determined to protect their turf that they do everything they can to prevent us from learning how to heal ourselves. They want to either poison an enzyme system of the body or surgically alter our bodies to creat the desired outcome of dependance on their products. A recent example is the FDA is now going after a walnut manufacture for posting the benefits of walnuts on their website. The FDA claims it makes their product an unapproved drug. I believe there is a lot we can learn from Doc Wallach.

Nutrition and Supplementation The Best Way to Better Health.

As a pharmacist I believe nutrition and supplementation is the best way to better health.

The root word of pharmaceuticals comes from the Greek word Pharmakon. In Greek that means two things, medicine and poison.

How appropriate since in modern medicine we treat the body with poisons. What we learned in pharmacy school is how to control these poisons; How to control the poisonous responses of medicines to treat symptoms of diseases and to control them. All drugs have a poisonous response and people are shocked to hear about their side effects.

It turns out that one of the leading causes of death in this country is a result of side effects from pharmaceuticals. It's the third or fourth leading cause of death in America. There are hundreds of thousands of people each year that die of side effects. Not overdoses but side effects.

Something else many people don't realize about what pharmacist studied is that we studied nutrition. But we didn't study nutrition from the standpoint of a dietitian. We didn't study nutrition from the standpoint of a nutritionist. We studied it as if it were medicines; we studied the medicinal properties of vitamins; we studied the medicinal properties of minerals; we studied the medicinal properties of phytonutriants and antioxidants. That is how these substances act medicinally.

And we studied disease states as nutritional deficiencies. As it turns out most every disease that we suffer from, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, Parkinson's disease, in fact almost all the diseases we suffer from in this country, if we back track them far enough we find a nutritional deficiency at the root.

Even at the point of natural death we don't die of what it says on the death certificate, we die because some organ system somewhere is not getting fed or is not getting sufficient nutrients to repair itself. We literally die of nutritional deficiencies.

So in pharmacy school I'm studying drugs as poisons; I'm studying nutrients as medicines; I'm studying disease states as nutritional deficiencies. It just made sense for me as a pharmacist to focus on the medicinal properties of nutrients.

So that lead me to nutritional pharmacy, that is using nutrients as medicines. And nutritional pharmacy lead me to Youngevity, a company with some of the finest, highest quality products on the market and a management team dedicated to health, wellness and prosperity.

Youngevity is not typical; in fact we have changed hundreds of thousands of lives around the world over the past decade.  I quickly understood the value of providing a solution reducing the growing number of people impacted by the world's top 6 health related killers.  Our message has high visibility with a contagious viral impact.  Simply prepare to introduce yourself and shake hands with the world!

If Youngevity was simply a vehicle that helped people live longer, experience a higher quality of life, and increased the likelihood of living disease free, it would be reason enough to take action now. Consider…

  • Financial peace
  • Living youthful with longevity
  • Providing hope to the hopeless
