Could Low-Fat Diets be Contributing to Obesity? (part 7)
The headline on the front page of The New York Times for 8 February 2006 announced: "Low-Fat Diet Does Not Cut Health Risks, Study Finds." Kolata summed up the results of the study: "The largest study ever to ask whether a low-fat diet reduces the risk of getting cancer or heart disease has found that the diet has no effect." Gina Kolata, "Low-Fat Diet Does Not Cut Health Risks, Study Finds," N. Y. Times, 8 February 2006, A1, A17.
That's not the entire story, stay tuned and I will reveal the results of my research on why diets fail.

Could Low-Fat Diets be Contributing to Obesity? (part 6)
In spite of the low-fat campaign, Americans are fatter than ever, obesity having risen by 50% since the 1970s. Jane Brody admitted: "The very tactic viewed as the key to weight control—stripping the diet of fat—seems to have backfired."
That's not the entire story, stay tuned and I will reveal the results of my research on why diets fail.

Eating genetically modified corn and consuming trace levels of chemical fertilizer causes horrifying tumors, widespread organ damage, and premature death.
The study has been deemed "the most thorough research ever published into the health effects of GM food crops and the herbicide Roundup on rats." News of the horrifying findings is spreading like wildfire across the internet, with even the mainstream media seemingly in shock over the photos of rats with multiple grotesque tumors... tumors so large the rats even had difficulty breathing in some cases. GMOs may be the new thalidomide.
From the Daily Mail: "The animals on the GM diet suffered mammary tumors, as well as severe liver and kidney damage. The researchers said 50 percent of males and 70 percent of females died prematurely, compared with only 30 percent and 20 percent in the control group."
Here are some of the shocking findings from the study:
• Up to 50% of males and 70% of females suffered premature death.
• Rats that drank trace amounts of Roundup (at levels legally allowed in the water supply) had a 200% to 300% increase in large tumors.
• Rats fed GM corn and traces of Roundup suffered severe organic damage including liver damage and kidney damage.
• The study fed these rats NK603, the Monsanto variety of GM corn that's grown across North America and widely fed to animals and humans. This is the same corn that's in your corn-based breakfast cereal, corn tortillas and corn snack chips.
"This research shows an extraordinary number of tumors developing earlier and more aggressively - particularly in female animals. I am shocked by the extreme negative health impacts." - Dr Michael Antoniou, molecular biologist, King's College London.
"We can expect that the consumption of GM maize and the herbicide Roundup, impacts seriously on human health." - Dr Antoniou.
"This is the first time that a long-term animal feeding trial has examined the impact of feeding GM corn or the herbicide Roundup, or a combination of both and the results are extremely serious. In the male rats, there was liver and kidney disorders, including tumors and even more worryingly, in the female rats, there were mammary tumors at a level which is extremely concerning; up to 80 percent of the female rats had mammary tumors by the end of the trial." - Patrick Holden, Director, Sustainable Food Trust.

Low-Fat Diet Facts (part 4)
So low-fat diets cause increased triglycerides and cause the body to make saturated fats, and they wonder why we're getting fatter?
Stay tuned, I will be releasing my report soon on why diets fail.

Could low fat diets be a contributing factor in obesity?
Could low fat diets be a contributing factor in obesity?
Scientific studies dating as far back as the 1940’s showed that there may be some connection to high fat diets and high-cholesterol levels. In the 1960’s we see for the first time that a low-fat diet may be a good idea for everyone not just high risk heart patients. In the 1980’s physicians, federal government agencies and the food industry began overwhelmingly to promote low fat diets as healthy even though there still was now clear evidence that it did prevent heart disease or weight loss. What is really interesting is in the same time period that we as a nation embraced low-fat diets we have seen obesity reach epidemic levels and we have see no change in cardiovascular events.
In fact to the contrary to the medical establishment’s warnings, we saw that those people that embraced the Atkins diet, which promotes high protein and higher fats actually saw a reduction in triglyceride levels and an increase in HDL (good) cholesterol.
Keep watching because in the very near future I will be launching a series of blog posts answering the question, “Why do diets fail?”
Are Low Fat Diets Beneficial (Part2)?
Hmmm "No Final Proof" yet do it anyway?!?
Stay tuned, I have lots more coming as I wind up my research on why diets fail!

I Can See Clearly Now
I love that song from Johnny Nash and it reflects on exactly how my life is going.
This has been a whirlwind couple of weeks. I've got so much I want to share with everyone. But first I want to bring everyone up to speed on what I've been doing and where I am going. I have been spending a lot of time in August working on goal setting, prayer and contemplation, and studying the principles of the "Law of Attraction." I was working with a personal development coach and network marketing pro, Eric Worre, he suggested that I map out a 90 day game plan to take my home business and my life to the next level. He discussed how I should have some sort of pre-launch building up to a launch. Then 90 days later hold a major event celebrating success.
So I am sitting in my office doing some brainstorming and contemplative prayer trying to come up with a game plan. Thinking about what people I would like to have involved with making this all happen and I get a call out of the blue. A good friend of my, Brandy Brogdon in Tennessee called me and said that Dr Wallach heard that I wanted to get away from pharmacy and that he would like to come up to Louisville and help me get things going. I was absolutely floored and immediately said yes. Through the Law of Attraction I now had the founder of a company; a gentleman that started his own home based business and turned it into a publicly traded international company offer to help me out. Incredible!
Not only that, he offered to come back in the spring to hold a super Saturday event for me. I never mentioned to him anything about my 90 day game plan; never mentioned anything about having a major event in the spring. So now I have the event that will be the culmination of a 90 day blitz. I now had a goal like Eric Worre told me I needed; a goal to work toward.
It is amazing how a change in outlook on your future, how concentrating on what I want to happen instead of dwelling on how bad things were; how just this shift in thought attracted into life just what I needed.
The story gets even better, Friday Dr Wallach called again. He is going to be in town a day early and wants to spend the extra time helping me out. So here is where all of you come in. I really do believe in the laws of attraction and I truly do believe that you bring into your life what you think about most. If you are like me and know that there is a better way out there for you; if you know that God is going to bless you but you just have not found the way or the means, then you need to get in contact with me ASAP.
Dr Wallach is going to be here Monday and I would like nothing more than to work with a small group of you that share, as Joel Osteen would say, a "vision of abundance" for your life. Contact me ASAP and we can all sit down together Monday or Tuesday and work out this vision of abundance together.
God Bless.
