Recruiting vs Sponsoring - Post 009

Here is a little note from one of my marketing sponsors that I wanted to share with you all.

Recruiting vs Sponsoring

Every time I take a step back and really think about Network Marketing and what the potential is I often wonder if we are making Network Marketing too hard? After working from home on a full time basis now for well over 10 years you would think I would know the secret to success. Well I have good news for you I believe I do know the secret to success and yes we are making Network Marketing too hard. I am going to break this down into 3 steps: Recruiting vs Sponsoring, the secret formula for success, and give it time.

Recruiting vs Sponsoring: I think that not understanding the difference between Recruiting and Sponsoring is one of the biggest problems in the industry. Let's start by giving a brief explanation:
  • Recruiting is simply the act of bringing someone into your business.
  • Sponsoring on the other hand goes several steps farther. It includes the sign up process and then the mentoring, training, and supporting necessary to help your new distributor attain their goals. This is a long term commitment to your new business partner.
When I look back at my biggest success over the last 10 years, building an organization of over 75,000 active distributors in 24 months, I only sponsored 3 front line distributors and I put all of my focus in helping those 3 people reach their goals. The interesting thing was within 24 months all three of them were making a multiple six figure residual income and they were not relying on me much at all. They had their own business and things were great. That is an example of what can happen if you understand the difference between Recruiting and Sponsoring.

Now let me tell you the mistake I made next. After selling that business I started over.

What was I thinking?

I turned the American dream into the American nightmare. This time I thought I was going to take my business to the next level. I put together a huge advertising budget, set up several e-mail servers, and even a 100 line auto dialing system. I turned this machine on and started generating 100’s of fresh leads a day and turned that into 30-50 new distributors a month. I thought that I had finally figured out the secret to success, boy was I wrong.

I continued on this path for almost 5 years sponsoring 30-50 distributors per month, month in and month out working harder than ever before trying to take my business to the next level. After five years my group had well over 100,000 sign ups. The bad news is only around 10,000 were active and only one person out of the 1000’s that I personally recruited was making a six figure residual income.

What was wrong with this picture?

I worked what seemed to be twice as hard for 3 years longer made less than half the money and had less than 1/5 of the active distributors.

The reason I am writing this report is to help make sure you do not make the same mistake I did while trying to take your business to the next level. My new plan this year is to sponsor 5 people and mentor, train, and support them so they can attain their goals.

Why five?

Well really no particular reason that was just the number that I felt I could work with on a daily basis to give them the support they will need to get their new business up and running.

I do want to point out one interesting thing though. The greatest thing about Network Marketing in my opinion is leverage. Leverage is really what this business is all about.

Let me explain how this works, Network Marketing in a perfect world is a lot of people doing a little work. This short exercise will show you the power of a lot of people doing a little bit and how that can turn into massive leverage.

Let’s say you sponsor just 2, 3, 4, or 5 people and duplicate this effort 4 times.

Level 1: 2 Level 1: 3 Level 1: 4 Level 1: 5

Level 2: 4 Level 2: 9 Level 2: 16 Level 2: 25

Level 3: 8 Level 3: 27 Level 3: 64 Level 3: 125

Level 4: 16 Level 4: 81 Level 4:256 Level 4: 625

Total: 30 Total: 120 Total: 340 Total: 780

This is a simple exercise to point out how big of a difference one person can make. Even though when you look at these numbers they are hundreds apart the real difference between each group is only one. Once you understand this I think it will make a lot more sense why you want to become a great sponsor and not a great recruiter.

5 Ways To Boost Your Website Sales - Post 006

The very first thing to do when launching your website is to make sure to understand and apply a few basic rules that, in my opinion, are MUST DOs for any profitable website. Enjoy!
    $2.95 .Com at GoDaddy.com!
Click Here to Get Your Domain Name
  1. Choose the right domain name for your website. Websites with a good domain name are easier to remember and trust. The right domain name should have the .COM extension, should be short (one or two keywords), English language, and somehow related to the product you sell.
  2. Focus on the content, easy navigation and logical flow instead of making your website cute. Don't include pop-up messages. Increasing demand for pop-up blockers suggests that you will annoy a lot of visitors if you have this feature.
  3. Design your website around a theme. Clearly state what you are about on the top of the page. Don't confuse readers with links all over the copy. Provide information on the website that helps visitors solve their problems. Build a case for your business that leads reader to conclude that you are the only business for them; irrespective of the cost.
  4. Give visitors some reasons to come back to your website - like free newsletters, monthly specials, etc. Keep the content fresh and add/delete pages regularly. This will keep your information up-to-date and help you get better search engine ranking.
  5. Identify keywords that are important for your business, and use them in your copy. It may make sense to have one page per keyword. Include keyword in the title tag, as well as in the page description tag. Use them in plurals also, when it makes sense. You can check Google, Bing or other search engines for keyword options at no cost.
  6. Search engines do not index images, thus any text presented as image will not help you with your web presence.

The QUIET Way to Overcome Objections - Post 005

The QUIET Way to Overcome Objections

Begin with a:

Question. You must ask questions to
Understand the objection. Once you understand the objection you must
I dentify the objection. To identify the objection you must
Empathize with the prospect. If you empathize instead of sympathize you are ready to
Test the objection. When you test the objection and make it real you increase your chance of closing the sell.

Old School Network Marketing STILL Trumps All - Post 003

Old School Network Marketing STILL Trumps All

Todd Falcone just posted a brand new training video on his blog about why "old school" networking is the fastest way to collect a check. Let's face it there's a lot of hoopla on the internet, a lot of empty promises, and a lot of people that seem to think our business is not a PEOPLE business. (they couldn't be more wrong!) Real human connection is what moves you forward in this profession and you can't hide behind your computer and create that, so check out his latest video on this topic below...

Tools for Positive Thought - Post 002

Tools for Positive Thought

Have you been practicing speaking to yourself in a positive way? Yes, today we are going to talk about positive self talk. It's one of the most important success strategies anyone can learn, and it doesn't come naturally to most of us, so here we go!

Take out a piece of paper and quickly write down three really positive statements about yourself.

Don't think too hard about it, just do it...now!

Ready-set-go!

Excellent!

When you find yourself reverting back to your old "negative self" language, stop and consider how this affects you and your motivation. It's so easy to tell yourself how badly you did, how you do not deserve this, and how you are just not strong enough. Consider this: would you talk like this to a friend or family member? Of course not! So, why are you talking to yourself this way?

This is a very powerful question for you to consider.

Introduction - Post 001

Hi, I'm Keith Abell, a pharmacist and owner of Abell International Marketing. I would like to take a moment to introduce myself.

My first exposure to the home based business industry was back in 1985.

Like today, the economic climate was not good. Home mortgage rates were approaching 20%; unemployment was high. The manufacturing segment was getting hit especially hard. The homeless situation was dire and dominated the news reports.

In fact I lost my own job in the telecommunications industry. I still thank God that I had joined a Network Marketing company a few months earlier. It kept food on the table and a roof over our head.

You see, I had recently joined Art Williams in his company, A L William. Art had a simple philosophy back then, "Buy term insurance and invest the difference." It was simple, as he said it was "Common Sense." An easy way for the average person to understand how to protect their family and save for their future security. I was able to take what I learned and eventually start my own financial services business, helping people save money and build financial security.

I changed my own career path when I had the opportunity to pursue a degree in the healthcare industry. I found a way through pharmacy to help people improve their health and well-being through medication therapies as well as lifestyle changes using natural approaches to health and well-being. Just like I enjoyed helping people improve their financial situation in the financial services industry. I also enjoyed teaching people how to live longer, healthier lives.

I have been through a lot over the years. I have had some victories and made some mistakes along the way.

At one point I discovered Dave Ramsey and the financial Peace University. My wife and I graduated from that program and finally found financial peace as one by one we eliminated our debt. Later I began to see and feel that the economy was about to make a drastic change. I realized that housing prices could not continue to rapidly rise.

I also feared that the healthcare industry was out of control. Newer and more expensive drug treatments were constantly being released to the public. None of which actually cured anything, they only treated symptoms and caused other conditions that had to be treated with more medications. While, as a pharmacist, I felt relatively secure with my career, both situations concerned me.

I remember those days with A. L. Williams and how much I enjoyed helping people with their financial situation. I looked back on what I learned from Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. I remembered a book I read by Robert Kiosaki were he stressed diversifying ones income sources just like we diversify our investments. I reflected on how much I enjoyed helping people improve their health so I began looking around at other opportunities.

I wanted something that I could do that utilized all of my life experiences to help people become financially secure and healthier at the same time. I knew I wanted to get back into the Network Marketing business.

At first I began exploring companies that specifically were involved in health and wellness so I could blend my marketing skills with my interest in healthcare. I realized however that even though a significant percentage of the population had an interest in health and wellness they were more concerned with ways to improve their financial situation through their own home based business so I began exploring other avenues as well.

That brings me to today. I founded Abell International Marketing and I have assembled a team of Network Marketing leaders, the AIM High Team. I have members on my team that come from all areas of this industry. We are here to help people just like you find the right home based business to fit your personality, interests and needs. I realize that the one size fits all approach does not work. My team and I are ready to help you find your own home based business in network marketing to realize your goals and dreams, not my goals or those of others in this industry.

Visit my website, http://AIMHighEnergy.com and fill out the short questionnaire. One of my team members or I will get back with you for a one on one interview. No matter what path I have followed in life, one thing has never changed. I am driven by desire to help other people live healthier, wealthier lives.
